1. Nature of Services
Sovereign Performance provides ECU file modification, cloning, and DAMOS translation services on a remote/mail-order basis. Services are performed based on information and files provided by the customer. Modifying a vehicle's ECU alters the manufacturer's original calibration and may affect vehicle performance, emissions output, fuel economy, drivability, warranty status, and insurance validity.2. Customer Responsibilities
The customer confirms they are the legal owner of the vehicle/ECU, or have the owner's explicit permission to have it modified.The customer is responsible for providing accurate vehicle, ECU, and file information. Sovereign Performance is not liable for errors caused by incorrect information supplied by the customer.The customer is responsible for correctly installing/flashing any returned file, unless installation was purchased as part of the service.3. Emissions & Road Legality
Emissions-related modifications (DPF, EGR, AdBlue/SCR delete or off) are provided for off-road, closed-course, motorsport, or export use only. These modifications are not legal for use on public roads in the UK and most other jurisdictions. The customer is solely responsible for ensuring compliance with local law. Sovereign Performance accepts no liability for fines, MOT failure, prosecution, or other consequences arising from road use of a vehicle with these modifications applied.4. Warranty & Vehicle Risk
ECU modifications will likely void the manufacturer's warranty. Sovereign Performance is not responsible for any warranty refusal by a manufacturer or dealer. While reasonable care is taken with all files and programming, Sovereign Performance is not liable for mechanical failure, engine damage, or other faults arising after a tune or modification has been applied, except where directly caused by proven negligence on our part.5. Cloning & Hardware
For cloning services, the customer supplies the donor ECU. Sovereign Performance is not liable for pre-existing faults, damage, or incompatibility in a customer-supplied donor ECU. If a supplied ECU proves incompatible or faulty, Sovereign Performance will not charge an additional service fee for a second attempt, but the customer remains responsible for any postage/handling charges already paid, which are non-refundable.6. File Storage & Backups
A backup of the file as originally received (prior to any modification by Sovereign Performance) is kept free of charge for any job undertaken. Sovereign Performance does not guarantee indefinite storage of backup files and recommends customers keep their own copy where possible.7. Payment & Turnaround
A deposit is required to begin work, with the remaining balance due upon completion before files or hardware are returned. Deposit amounts vary by service and will be confirmed at the time of order. Quoted turnaround times are estimates and not guaranteed; delays may occur due to file complexity, courier issues, or high demand.8. Shipping
The customer is responsible for adequately packaging any ECU sent for cloning or physical work, and for choosing appropriately insured/tracked shipping. Sovereign Performance is not liable for loss or damage in transit to us, but will take reasonable care of items once received and use tracked shipping for returns.
